How do I search for my parts?

SEARCHING
A comprehensive search can be found by clicking the button at the top of each page. 
To do a "Simple" Search, type the word or words that you are searching for in the blank and click the button.

When you click search, your parts will be listed.

Refine Your Search

You can refine your searches by doing an "Advanced" Search.  Click the (Advanced Search) link beside the blank where you enter your search words.  (note: These options also appear when your initial search results are displayed.)  Now you have some additional options:

1. Search Field: where you type in what you want to search (key words or phrases)
    
2. Refinement Tool: where you specify how you want to search for what you just typed.  You may choose from:

   [all these words]: searches for all of the words that you typed

   [begins with]: searches only for items that begin with what you typed (very useful when looking for part numbers)

   [exact phrase]: searches for EXACTLY what you have typed only

   [any of these words]: similar to [all these words] but will search for any word typed in a specified field
    

3. Name: When checked, your searches will only check the "Name" field of all products
    
4. Part Number: When checked, your searches will only check the "Part Number" field of all products
    
5. Description: When checked, your searches will only check the "Description" field of all products
    
6. OEM Number: This is the manufacturer's part number.  When checked your searches will search by the Original Equipment from the Manufacturer's (OEM) number.
    
7. Check to see sections that contain this search: When checked, your search results will display the categories that contain what you typed in the Search Field.  These categories will display at the end of your search results
    
8. Once you have filled out these fields, click the [ SEARCH ] button.

Any one, or multiple uses of these tools will provide different results based on what you have selected.

When your Advanced Search results display, you may sort the results by clicking the arrows beside the field names.  Results will then be sorted in either ascending or descending order

Every Results page can be sent to someone else via email, just click the button.
