Hydraulic Pump without backing plate, fits all Borg Warner Velvet Drive Marine Transmissions 10-17, 10-18, 71 & 72 series for Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions.

The old style Velvet Drive Transmissions used a pump which used a backing plate to hold the gears in the pump. This pump will not replace that older pump.

If your gears just remove from the housing or if one of the gears stays on the shaft when you remove the pump, then this is the correct pump.

Fits 71, 72, 1017, 1018, 1004, 1005, 1013, 1014 and 73 Series Transmissions. Front seal included and installed.
