Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't we accept telephone orders?

In order to protect you from risks such as identity theft, credit card fraud and other crimes that tend to arise, we do not take telephone orders. Instead, we use Secure Socket Layering (SSL) to encrypt your transaction and personal information. This ensures that no one here will ever see your credit card number. That is securely kept between you and your credit card company. This way, your information cannot be stolen or disseminated by any of us in any way.

Companies who take credit card orders by phone must record your credit card information somewhere, either by writing it down or by storing it digitally. At Basic Power, you will have to re-enter your credit card number each time you place a new order because we do not store that information ever. We are sorry if this is an inconvenience, but this is a small price to pay for your security.
